“Delicious and distinctive bouquet with a core of chalky minerality, ripe citrus, white fleshed fruits and nut-like oak and lees layer. On the palate – lots of drive and texture from acidity, lees, oak and minerality. A Chablis-like flavour, but also very new world-like with white-fleshed peach and lemon, cashew nut oak and lees, fine tannins and overall palate engaging textures. Balanced and well-made, quite youthful and vibrant, lengthy finish, well made. Drink now and through 2024.

Our Empire Chardonnay was recently selected to be poured and modelled at the New Zealand launch of the Jancis Robinson Collection designed by Richard Brendon.
The young wine decanter maximises the surface area of young wine and provides an ideal way of aerating the wine by swirling it around. We were very lucky to meet both David and Richard later in Blenheim and try the exceptional #oneglassforeverywine collection.
