We’re thrilled to share our 2024 Windrush Organic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has struck gold—twice—at two of Germany’s prestigious international wine competitions.
In 2012 we planted 80 Syrah vines at our Terrace Stone Vineyard on Hammond Road near Renwick. This vineyard has lovely soil - a deep layer of fine stones mixed with silt and loam over clay - and is sheltered by trees which provides a unique micro-climate.
Last year, we were extremely proud both our Windrush Organic Sauvignon Blanc, 2019 and Pinot Noir, 2019 were selected in the Metro Top 50 Wines 2021.
This year, our Empire Chardonnay 2020 has joined the best, most interesting, most delicious wines of the year!
25 single vineyard wines championing both site and subregion were tasted by Gourmet Traveller Wine in their Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc feature, with our Windrush Organic Sauvignon Blanc, 2019 placed in the top 14.

We are Callum & Sarah Linklater, second generation organic producers. Callum’s family have been farming organically since the late 90’s originally with sheep and beef and recently viticulture. In 2014 we purchased a small property in Renwick, Marlborough and set about planting a small Chardonnay vineyard.
This is Callum and his sister Nadine on a balmy September day, 2007 Brixton. When wrap around sunnies were cool and we purchased our finest 99p mincey special + Tempranillo from Tescos. This is when Nadine came to visit and is about the time we learned that ‘that vineyard’ the parents had purchased was also called Windrush.
